I have gambled on millions of hands of 21. I began sneaking into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have played online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of cash at twenty-one. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy 21. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this technique! And a number of months ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!

You need to comprehend that you can lose a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Wager 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the initial five dollar bet

Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10

Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet

Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar bet

Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager

Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $160 wager

If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
