I have bet on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have bet on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling at times. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a few years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a few weeks ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.
Wager 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $5 wager
Bet 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Bet 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar bet
Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first forty dollar wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the initial 80 dollar wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager
If you left at this instance you would be up $315 !!
It’s difficult to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
